Patriot clinic

THIS IS FROM THE WEB -THE CLINIC IS IN OKLAHOMA WHERE THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA IS PAYING FOR HYPERBARIC TREATMENTS FOR OUR GULF WAR AND AFGAHANISTAN VETERANS SUFFERING FROM PTSD AND Tbi INJURIES SINCE THE VA WOULD RATHER USE A DRUG THERAPY FOR LIFE INSTEAD OF FIRST TRYING THE CHEAPER HYPERBARIC TREATMENTS
Patriot Clinics, Inc.
Patriot Clinics, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing effective medical treatment and other therapies to persons who have suffered injuries and who have been unable to receive effective treatment for their injuries or other medical conditions.   Our focus is to provide services to injured veterans, police officers, fire fighters and victims of crime, though we also provide effective treatments for brain insults to civilians.   We provide effective therapies and medical treatments such as cognitive rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, without cost to an injured individual, so that they can restore their lives, preserve their careers and families, or return to work, duty or school.

We are able to provide these therapies because of a large workforce of dedicated, trained volunteers, most of whom are veterans, and because of innovations in science and technology.

Sources of funding that make this possible are charitable donations, private payments for services, and third party payment for services when possible.   The science behind the therapies and treatments provided is well understood and cost-effective, and each patient goes through a screening process to identify the therapies they need and they systematically process them through these therapies to permit as much healing as possible.

As they are treated and after they are treated we request they provide support to the clinic operations, or to the supporting charity, the International Hyperbaric Medical Foundation, so that the improvement in their lives can be provided to others as it has been to them.

Treatment results for each patient are scientifically documented and collected in accordance with government regulations so that the protocols can eventually be adopted by the VA and DoD and civilian medical system to improve therapeutic and medical treatments throughout the medical system.

Real Hope for Veterans
Effective Treatment

Veterans of the current War on Terror, as well as previous wars, have experienced significant concussive blast injuries. The International Hyperbaric Medical Foundation (IHMF) has helped each brain-injured veteran we’ve served achieve clinically significant recovery after completing 40 treatments of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

Despite the persistent misunderstanding in general medical training today, it is possible to rebuild a brain in 150 days with 80 hyperbaric oxygen treatments.

Suicide Prevention

Brain injuries experienced by our veterans, coupled with the current off-label use of FDA-black box labeled drugs, has increased the suicide rate among veterans to 20 per day (CBS News).

Fortunately, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which saturates the body with oxygen to regenerate brain tissue, has dramatically reduced suicidality among our veterans. Click HERE to learn more about how this treatment is helping our men and women in and out of uniform.

Solving Veteran Unemployment

In 2007, Dr. A. M. Gamboa reported that a mild-TBI sufferer will have a 50% future lifetime loss of income. Forty-five percent of all mild-TBI sufferers are also unemployed two years post injury.

Veterans who have returned from the War on Terror have a higher veteran unemployment rate than their peers who did not serve, and a much higher veteran unemployment rate than veterans in general (typically, veterans have a much lower unemployment rate than their non-serving peers; click here for more information). In fact, a high number of these young men and women are no longer in the work force and have stopped looking for work.

These statistics further demonstrate the impact of untreated war-related brain injuries. In 2008, it was estimated in Congressional Testimony before the House Veterans Affairs Committee that on average, each of these untreated brain injured veterans costs society $60,000 per year in higher medical costs, incarceration costs, lost tax revenue, and other related costs.

Veterans are experiencing great challenges-challenges not being addressed by the Department of Defense or the Veterans’ Administration (click here for more information). No amount of job training can restore the loss of mental capacity from an untreated brain injury.

Fortunately, the IHMF is helping veterans become gainfully employed by repairing the biological injuries they have experienced. Click HERE to learn more about how this treatment is helping our men and women in and out of uniform.
